We have several different ways of bonding someone out of jail. All Bonds are required a $13.00 cash state surcharge to be added.

1. CASH BONDS
Total amount of bond in cash, cashier check or money order. You go to records get a copy of the hard card and then to the cashier. When court if complete the person posting the cash must come back to the office with picture ID and disposition from court for a refund. If you can not come then you may send a notarized letter with the disposition for a refund

2. CREDIT CARDS
We accept Master card or Visa. These cards must be in the name of the person posting the bond and picture ID is required. No company credit cards will be accepted. A surcharge will be added. You go to records get a copy of the hard card and then to the cashier. When court is completed you come back with disposition from court and picture ID or mail in a notarized letter with disposition for a refund.

3. DEBIT CARDS
Debit cards with picture ID A surcharge will be added. You go to records get a copy of the hard card and then to the cashier. A surcharge will be added. When court is complete you come back with disposition from court and picture ID or mail a notarized letter with disposition for a refund.

4. BONDING COMPANY
We accept local bonding company bonds.  See approved list below. You go to the bonding company and bring the bond to recorders and then to the cashier.

5. OUT OF COUNTY BONDS
We accept out of county bonds. They must be approved by the sheriff’s dept in that county. These bonds are placed in a sealed envelope and brought to the jail for processing.

6. PROPERTY BONDS
Property must be in Chatham County and free/clear of all liens. A title search must be done by an attorney. The property must have value equal to or greater than the bond amount. You must have a copy of paid property taxes for the year. You bring all this information to the sheriff’s dept. We type of a bond. You take the bond to records and then to the cashiers. We place a lien on your property. You must come back to the office when court is completed with disposition and we will then remove the lien. If defendant does not show for court you may lose your property.
