 M.O.U. (Memorandum of Understanding)

Student Waiver Form

For Agencies requesting to send an officer to our training facility, an Memorandum of Understanding must be completed by the agency head. This agreement is an understanding that the Chatham County Sheriff's Department can not, or will not be held liable for any injuries incurred while an officer is detached to the training center. This M.O.U. must be completed, signed, and mailed to our unit at least one week prior the officer's class date. We will accept hand deliveries of the M.O.U. but please ensure the form is filled out completely. We can accept this on the first day of class. We cannot accept any faxes or copies. The original is required to be in our possession.

NEW UPDATE! For all Georgia Peace officers attending training at the K-9 Unit. Effective September 1, 2011 POST will no longer accept C-12’s. The individual officer attending the training should know their individual “O” Key number and be ready to provide it at the end of the training block to your instructor.
