The Traffic Safety Unit provides support to the K-9 Unit and the Governors Office of Highway Safety.

The Traffic Safety Unit also provides support to other Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies throughout Chatham County by providing assistance with roadside safety checks.

The Unit has made several felony and misdemeanor drug arrests and seizures in addition to several arrest for wanted persons.
